Who would believe after receiving the news from authorities they were about to lose all their crop, Currumbin Valley Greenhouse would be celebrating just weeks later.

Peter and Jan Flemming were devastated when they were told they had bacterial wilt.“We were told by the authorities – the DPI – that we would be wiped out, no doubt whatsoever,” said Mrs Flemming.

Bacterial Wilt was detected on 5th of March and they got the results on the 24th “they told us we would be out of production within 1 month, at the most 6 weeks.  Grander Waters name came up – it’s been in 1mth and you can see the results – no bacteria.” said Mr Flemming.

“We went from 140 plants dying per week down to 5 – 6 plants dying per week” Some of plants the Flemmings thought were dead have even been revived. “We have also taken laterals off some and replanted them and we have ended up with just as many plants that we started off with.”

Since Grander has been installed “roots are cleaner, less pests, fast growing plants, the colour is better, the flowers are healthier and brighter, less spraying.   We’ve gone from spraying every week to no spraying in 11 weeks.”

“The bricks reading is going up  which means sweeter fruit.   Beyond this, is the miracle of not spraying, not having to spray, not being governed by spray.

“If we’d known 9 years ago when Grander came to Australia it would have revolutionised our lives, our income and everything else attached to us.  Beyond that it speaks for itself,” Jan said.
